フユシャク類のシーズンの中盤に出現。
低地から山地に広く分布し、個体数は多い。
♂は前翅長と色彩に変異が多い。
灯下にいた。
分布：北海道、本州、四国、九州、対馬、
　　　朝鮮半島、台湾、中国
成虫出現月：1～3
幼虫食餌植物：ブナ、クリ、コナラ、ミズナラ、クヌギ、カシワ、
　　　　　　　アベマキ
